Arctic Cat launched the notion of an ATV designed to carry two riders in tandem. For 2011 the achievements of the TRV lineup has been broadened with two new GT models which include power steering. Arctic Cat’s Variable Assist Electronic Power Steering (EPS) permits steering guidance to the ATV before it even begins to move at idle. This can be a big advantage to saving the rider’s input power when in 4WD, and particularly if your differential lock is employed.

Arctic Cat EPS will lessen the torque required to steer the ATV when switching direction with loaded racks or navigating tough obstructions like rocks, deep mud or logs. The variable assist technique is powered by an electronic control unit (ECU) which calculates steering input force versus tire resistance and vehicle speed then offers suitable aid to the steering column via an electric motor.
